How We Assess & Rate Sales Freelancers

We assess and rate Sales Freelancers based on their virtual selling readiness: their readiness to convey professionalism in sales conversations that occur entirely online rather than in person, which includes communicating with prospects through video messages and having sales meetings through video calls.

#1 - Sales Freelancer Submits Video Profile

Every Sales Freelancer creates a video profile in which they answer a standard set of 3 questions we use to gain perspective about their mindsets and skill sets.

#2 - Sales Outsourcing Specialist Scores Video Profile

Sales Freelancers’ video profiles are then scored by a CloudTask Sales Outsourcing Specialist based on 19 attributes in 4 categories we believe are strong predictors of one’s ability to perform at a high level in a virtual selling role: Sales Experience, Communication Skills, Critical Traits, Presentation & Setup. Each attribute is rated on a 5-point scale.

#3 Assign a Virtual Sales Readiness Rating

Sales Freelancers’ video profile assessment scores for each category are added up, with the Communication category carrying a higher weight of 1.125, resulting in 100 points as the highest possible score.

Based on the Sales Freelancer’s Total Score, they are assigned a 1-5 rating (5 being the best) according to the legend below.

We deem Sales Freelancers that score 3 or higher Virtual Sales Ready and approve them for a CloudTask Marketplace profile.
