WHY TEAMS TRUST CLOUDTASK
What you get with every hire
Someone who stays after the build
Automations break when a tool changes or a process moves. A dedicated person on your team fixes them the same day instead of opening a new project.
Your working day, covered
Latin America and the Caribbean overlap the US business day, so a failed workflow gets noticed and fixed while your team is still working.
Verified on your stack
n8n, Make, Zapier, GoHighLevel, your CRM and your help desk. Checked per candidate against the tools you name, not taken from a self-reported list.
Replacement guarantee
24 months on Managed Staffing, 6 months on Direct Hire. Your automations run your operations, so the guarantee covers the case where the fit is wrong.

At first we were an SF-based team only. Then I met Amir Reiter back in 2018. After visiting Medellín, I knew LATAM would be key to our growth and success.
Tim Zheng CEO, Apollo.io -
After meeting my CX and CS team in Medellín, we immediately loved the culture and the work ethic. As a European-HQ company, we found LATAM to be perfect to service our American clients.

SKILLS
Top capabilities to look for in an AI automation specialist
Anyone can connect two apps. These are the capabilities that decide whether your automations save hours every week or create failures nobody notices until a customer does.
-
Mapping the process before automating it
Writing down how the work actually happens today, who touches it and where it stalls. Automating a broken process only makes it break faster.
-
Workflow building in no-code tools
n8n, Make, Zapier and GoHighLevel: triggers, branches, error paths and retries, built so someone else can read them.
-
AI steps with a human check
Classifying requests, drafting replies, extracting fields from documents. Placed where they save time, with a review step where a wrong answer would cost money.
-
Connecting your systems
CRM, help desk, billing, spreadsheets and forms talking to each other, so data is entered once and nobody copies it by hand.
-
Monitoring and failure handling
Alerts when a run fails, logs someone can read, and a plan for what happens to the records that did not go through.
-
Documentation that outlives them
What each automation does, what it depends on and who owns it. Without it, every workflow becomes a mystery the day the builder is out.
-
Measuring the time saved
Knowing how long the task took before and after, so you can tell which automations earn their keep and which to switch off.
-
Working with the people who do the work
The best automation ideas come from the team doing the task. A strong specialist asks them first and builds with them, not around them.
HIRING GUIDE
How to hire an AI automation specialist
Most businesses buy automation as a project: a consultant builds a set of workflows and moves on. This guide covers what an AI automation specialist does, when a dedicated person beats a project, and when you should not hire one yet.
What is an AI automation specialist?
Someone who takes repetitive work out of your operations by connecting your tools and adding AI steps where they help. Routing a lead, creating a ticket, updating a record, drafting a reply, pulling data from a document.
The tools are usually no-code or low-code platforms such as n8n, Make, Zapier and GoHighLevel. The skill is less about the tool and more about understanding the process well enough to automate it safely.
How is this different from an AI automation consultant or agency?
A consultant or agency is hired for a project. They map a process, build the workflows, hand them over and leave. That works well for a defined, one-time build.
A dedicated specialist is on your team every day. Automations need maintenance: tools change their APIs, processes shift, edge cases appear. The value of a dedicated person is that the second and third version of each workflow gets built too.
How is it different from marketing automation?
Marketing automation is about campaigns, lead scoring and the marketing platform, usually HubSpot or Marketo. That is a marketing operations role.
AI automation specialists work across the business: sales handoffs, operations, support queues, finance paperwork. If your need sits entirely inside the marketing platform, hire for marketing operations instead.
What does CRM and sales automation cover?
Most revenue teams lose time in the handoffs between tools, not inside them. Lead routing that sends a new inbound lead to the right rep in minutes, enrichment that fills the record before anyone opens it, and follow up tasks that create themselves when a deal changes stage.
In practice that means HubSpot workflows, Salesforce Flow, GoHighLevel automations and the n8n, Make or Zapier steps that connect them to your forms, your calendar and your billing. The specialist builds it, documents it and owns it when something breaks.
When should you not hire an AI automation specialist?
When you cannot yet describe the processes you want automated. If nobody can write down how a task works today, the first hire you need is someone to run and document it, not someone to automate it.
It is also the wrong hire when you have one or two workflows to build and nothing after that. A short project with a consultant will cost you less. Hire a dedicated person when the list keeps growing.
What should I automate first?
Start with work that is frequent, rule based and currently done by hand between two systems: copying data from a form into a CRM, creating tasks from emails, sending the same follow-up every time a deal moves stage.
Leave anything that needs judgment on every case until the simple wins are running. AI steps work best inside a process that is already stable.
What should I check in the interview?
Ask them to walk you through a workflow they built that failed in production. You want to hear how they found out, what they changed, and how they made sure it would not fail silently again.
Then give them one of your real processes in a few sentences and ask how they would map it before building anything. The questions they ask are the best predictor of the work.
Red flags in AI automation specialist candidates
Building before mapping. When you describe one of your processes, a candidate who names a tool and starts designing the workflow before asking how the work happens today will automate your problems along with it. The questions they ask first matter more than the build they propose.
No failure story. A candidate who cannot describe a workflow of theirs that failed in production, or only found out when someone complained, has not built monitoring. Ask how they would know a run failed and what happens to the records that did not go through.
Workflows only they can read. If they cannot describe how they documented what they built, every automation leaves with them. Ask what someone else would need to fix one of their workflows while they are out.
AI on every step. A candidate who puts an AI step everywhere, with no review where a wrong answer would cost money, is choosing the tool over the process. Ask where in your process they would not use AI, and why.
Building around the team. Strong specialists start with the people who do the task. A candidate who talks only about tools, and never about who they asked or built with, will ship automations your team works around.
How much does an AI automation specialist cost?
It depends on seniority, the tools involved, the language requirement and the country the person works from, and any single number describes one scenario and calls it a price.
What is worth understanding is the shape. On Managed Staffing it is one all-in monthly rate per person with payments, compliance and replacement cover inside it. On Direct Hire it is a one-time fee and the person goes on your payroll. We quote your number before you interview anyone.
Why hire an AI automation specialist in Latin America?
Overlap. When an automation fails, the damage is a lead that never got routed or a ticket that never got created. Latin America and the Caribbean share most of the US working day, so failures get caught while they still matter.
The second reason is English. The specialist works with your team to understand each process, and we screen that live on a call rather than inferring it from a profile.
How does CloudTask hire for this role?
You send the processes you want automated, the tools you use and the hours you need covered. We come back with 3 to 5 matched profiles within 48 hours, each one screened on a live call and verified against the stack you named.
You interview and choose. On Managed Staffing we handle payments, compliance and onboarding and stay involved with check-ins. On Direct Hire the person joins your payroll from day one. Both carry a replacement guarantee: 24 months on Managed Staffing, 6 months on Direct Hire.
